What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences and keep you signed in across pages.
What we use
MyCareFunds uses a deliberately small set of first‑party cookies and browser storage:
- Essential — sign‑in tokens, CSRF protection, and your active household. Without these, the app cannot function.
- Preferences — your choice of theme (light/dark), default budget period, and dismissed banners.
- Diagnostics — anonymised crash reports and performance metrics, retained for up to 90 days.
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies.
- No third‑party trackers.
- No social‑media pixels.
- No analytics that profile individual users.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out and reset preferences. On mobile, the MyCareFunds app stores equivalent data in your device's secure storage; uninstalling the app removes it all.
Updates
If we ever add new categories of cookies (we don't plan to), we'll update this page and notify you on your next sign‑in.
