Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MyCareFunds ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian‑owned application that helps individuals and families manage self‑directed home‑care budgets, including Home Care Package (HCP) and NDIS plans. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information when you use our mobile app, web portal, or marketing website (the "Service").

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and authentication identifier from Google Sign‑In or your local device profile.
  • Care budget data — budget periods, expenses, categories, helpers, providers, recurring entries, contracts, and uploaded receipts or statements.
  • Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, and crash diagnostics.
  • Optional data — two‑factor authentication seed, household membership, and view‑only sharing preferences.

3. How we use your information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Service: to display your budget, sync data across your devices, send reminders you have requested, and produce reports you generate. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Australia region) when cloud sync is enabled. If you choose Device‑only mode, your data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can switch modes at any time.

5. Sharing & disclosure

We share information only when you explicitly authorise it (e.g. inviting a family member to a household), when required by Australian law, or with our infrastructure provider Google (Firebase) under their security and privacy commitments.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us at privacy@mycarefunds.com.au. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

7. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where law requires us to retain limited records.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in‑app and via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
